The Brief: To supply and install a CCTV Security System to give whole house exterior coverage and a TV/Sky Distribution System to all rooms and the ability to access the Sky System remotely via the Internet where ever Nigel is in the world.
Solution:
Multiple Cameras, Multiplexer, Switcher, Video-UHF modulator, Amplifier and a Sling Box.

Nigel Lythgoe, creator of hit TV shows "American Idol", "Pop Idol" and "Gladiators," chose CAI Vision to supply and install a Multi room Integrated Reception System providing analogue tv, digital tv, Sky tv, digital radio and cctv to all rooms.
As the property was a completed new development with no provision allowed for installing any additional cables, therefore in order to route all the cables from the cameras positions back to the control equipment all cables had to be discretely installed on the external elevations and threaded through the voids in the internal partition walls thereby minimising the disruption to the decor on this high end property. This was completed whilst the family was still in the throes of settling into their new home with the result that each TV now had excellent TV reception and the CCTV cameras could be viewed at all the TV positions.

Our subsequent visit to the property was to install the Sling box to the Sky receiver and linking it to the telephone line which then allowed Nigel to be able to not only view the Sky channels with the use of a computer and broadband connection but also to actually control the Sky receiver as well so that he did not have to miss out on any of his favourite TV programme's whilst he was in the USA judging American Idol.
As you may be aware, Nigel then went to Los Angeles to produce the even more successful 'American Idol'.
Nigel must have really missed UK television as he recently telephoned us to request a 'Slingbox' to be installed to his existing home television distribution system in London, enabling him to watch UK television programme's from anywhere in the world over the internet, not just Los Angeles.
This was duly done, and it would be nice to think he needs it to keep up with all the latest english tv!
Nigel can also view what's going on at his home via his CCTV system over the internet.
